What is the easiest way to get youtube videos in stereo high def audio and video?

I have so many videos I want to post on youtube, but it always compresses them. I use windows movie maker to make it a wmv file, what is the best way to lower the resolution and the bit rate to meet youtube's expectations so it doesn't shrink it?

I'm really not sure, but in your description tell people to put at the end of the URL "&fmt=18" This makes everything High Definition, I hope that helps!
